Meredith is now in Canada, but he started life in Australia.
(Don't tell me Meredith is a girl's name, I'm not listening.)

One ear stubbornly flips down - it's the one with the different lining. His body is scraps and the legs and arms are bits of old clothes-making projects.
A very useful chap is Meredith.


When he's not nestling in tissue paper and leaping in a jiffy bag for the budget flight to Canada, he likes long walks, evenings by the fire and the occasional ride in a plastic truck or toy train set. (You get me, Zachary?)

How to eat a cookie

It has come to our notice that some people don't know how to eat a cookie* properly.

Thanks to Australian-New Yorker Ella Morton, we are lucky enough to have the expert, the Cookie Monster to teach us the correct technique.



Cookies are very important, and correct technique and vocabulary and crumbing crucial. What would we do without the Cookie Monster's expertise? We are, of course, most appreciative, but letters from the Cookie Monster's Attorney will not be acted upon.

This one, is, of course for Zach, and his appropriate vocabulary.

Hello-Bonjour Zach!

The clan increases.

Bev's sister Tam has had her boy Zachary James safely, and both mother and baby are doing well, and back at home with grandmother and grandfather. Bev's now an Auntie by blood, which sounds rather Dracula!

Of course, thanks to the wonders of the interweb and some newish equipment, we were able to use Skype for a videoconference. How 2001 A Space Odyssey, eh?

Unfortunately, due to some careless backlighting it all rather looked like a ransom demand, crossed with Munch's 'The Scream' particularly when Zach yawned mightily, and gathered a worried look from the new mum. (The little mite didn't really scream, of course.)

Bev's threatened to sketch up Zach's view later...
